glibc detected double free or corruption
Problem:
An error message similar to the following is printed to the screen when the 3dm2 monitoring daemon shuts down:
*** glibc detected double free or corruption: 0x089a9330 ***
Details:
In version 2.06.00.007-1 of the 3dm2 package, there is a memory freeing bug when the daemon is terminated.
Solution:
This bug is mostly cosmetic and does not cause any harm to the system. To elimiate the error message, upgrade the 3dm2 package to version 2.06.00.007-2 or higher. This package can be found on the ASL Driver CD version 4.53 or higher. Instructions for obtaining the latest version of the driver CD are provided in this FAQ entry.
